It's gas. Many men suffer from this due to poor digestion. The gas settles in this area and causes nerve congestion resulting in severe pain. Avoid oily and fatty food which takes time to digest. Take homeopathic medicines
Sulphur 1m (6-7 pills in the morning)
Nux vom 1m (6-7 pills in the night)
Cina 200 (6-7 pills anytime during day)
the problem will go.

Semi-chronic back pain of unknown origin is something which I suffer from too. X-rays revealed nothing wrong. Physicians are very reluctant to prescribe narcotic analgesics. What I do in order to relieve the pain is combine Motrin with the prescription drug Soma, which is a fantastic muscle relaxant.
If you speak with your physician about this, the chances of obtaining a script for Soma are far greater than getting narcotics. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
AVOID SURGERY at all costs. In most cases, surgery makes the condition worse.

I first suggest seeing your doc they will take some xrays and possibly order and MRI. If it is a disc problem you need to have it treated promptly before the damage becomes severe and possibly a rupturing of a disc which can lead to permanant nerve damage , which is very annoying. I have had 3 back surgeries and I have a fused spine now. I waited too long and ignored thinking Im sure it will go away dont make the smae mistake

The odds are good that it's caused by a disk problem. Get it checked out, and if your doctor brushes it off, as they often do at first, keep going back for the same problem. A trip to emerg. during an acute attack also helps your doctor to realize that this is serious and warrants investigation. Eventually they will order x-rays, and/or a CT scan. From my experience, referal to a surgeon will get you an MRI to provide more detailed information. In Canada, an MRI costs around $1,500, so they don't do them too readily.

I have degenerative disc disease and have had for several years but it wasn't diagnosed until last year. The best place to start is a pain management clinic. They will help get you out of pain while they find your problem and a solution. I spent months in physical therapy and built up my abdominal muscles to help support my back, also they did deep tissue message with heat. Try not to over-exert yourself.

I have suffered on and off with spine pain. I am convinced that some are caused by injury , some by congenital conditions and some by bacteria. Careful exercise , good diet and life style can control the problem.
