Yes - no reason why not. Many wounds aren't dressed these days. Sutures are not a contraindication for removing a dressing. Keep the wound dry thought for a couple of days.

Keep it clean and cover with a dry dressing if you can .

It is best if the dressing has come off, to let the clinic,
where you had surgery , give you advice ,
as to what you should do .next

Some surgical sites are sprayed with colodian ( artificial skin)
and the wound can be quite safely ,left without any other ' dressing'

t is always wise, to leave your dressing on
until you have been told you can remove it!

Usually for 5 days after the surgery,
when you have your stitches out .

A dressing helps to keep infection out
and also keeps, the wound from getting knocked
accidental when you are sleeping (for instance )

phone up the clinic , where you had the surgery done
and ask for their advice ,
this will set your mind at rest .

hope you heal up soon .

Follow the advice of the paramedic and the instructions of the clinic where you got the stitches--keep it covered....your face is not really the place to experiment with wound care. Your skin has not healed enough in a day to keep dirt and germs out on its own.

One surgeon once quoted he would rather operate in the street?

Providing you don't stress or pull the flesh, fine.
I never cover any wound after it stops bleeding and in three days it fine. Don't wash it for ten days and if it itches in the first two days it's been contaminated from day one.

I would keep it covered when you're out and about, maybe undress it and keep it cleaned (keep it dry for at least two days though) when you're at home. But as a young woman, I would try to keep it covered for the most part because sunlight doesn't help with the scarring. I hope it heals well! :-)

There is a product by Smith & Nephew which is a spray dressing-forgot its name. You can use this instead of the gauze dressings.

It is advisable not to. Two days is better. Leave it for as long as you were told to if possible.

Maybe not that soon but it must be open so the air can enter and heal. Wait for one more day.
