i dont have vision in my left eye at all im 23 in good shape no problems driving or anything i was interested in emt work but can i do it with the vision problem??

You should have no problem attaining the certification necessary to become an EMT. They may not allow you to drive the ambulance since you will be driving at higher than normal speeds while en route to a call. However, if the area in which you are going to become certified requires you to be EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course) certified and you can pass that, perhaps you will be able to drive. Most locales do not allow you to start IV's or push medications anyway until you reach a level of ST (Shock Trauma), CT (Cardiac Tech), or Paramedic. This will give you more than enough time to perfect your skills given your situation.

Yes, you can. I am not sure if you can drive the ambulance, but I am positive that as long as you can see blood pressure guages and where to stick a needle that works. I mean, you usually squint or close one eye when your doing precision work anyways.

As long as you can get a drivers license to drive the rig then it should not be a problem

yes you can. You can drive too...if you have a dl...they train there drivers so if you pass the tests your good to go.

dotn believe theres a vison screening for that...if youre qual for a drivers license you can go.
