Try support pantyhose. Surgical hose are too tight at least until you have fully recovered from surgery. Look for graduated compression 8-15 mg. Anything more could aggravate the sight of the surgery.

I am not sure if this would help or not but have you tried those compression socks? You might have to order them on line but they might help. I had a friend with a ankle condition caused by poor circulation and her doctor told her to invest in those socks.

Well, there are a few remedies. In my country we use this balm that we call "manteca de ubre". It's a way better version of Bengay and all that generic stuff. Look it up on the internet. In India they also use a spice called turmeric, but it would have to be ingested through something. I don't know much about that, so you may want to look it up as well. I hope you feel better!

Soaking your feet in warm water if you're not in a cast of course, and there is a mentholated salve called Unker's it's like Icy hot, but it has a multitasking quality it can also be used on your chest for colds, anyway you can find it in bulk food stores. Also use the support hose and socks, and if anything else use your preferred pain reliever.

Try a vitamin E lotion fortified with vitamins A and D. It is not a cure but will help if applied first thing in the morning and right before bed.

Keeping off of it is by far the best thing to do. Additionally, you could limit you sodium intake (no sodas). Sodium causes your body to retain water which can cause swelling and adds to the pressure.

ice-pack occasionally, you can get those blue-gel packs you keep in the freezer, then wrap it around your ankle when you go to bed or take a nap. It reduces inflammation without drugs, and reduced inflammation reduces pressure
