some of you might know it, there are some hours through the day in which i cant think straight or cant focus and advance in things that require thinking
probably the mind needs its rest, i am aware for example that eating big meals will make you really tired, but what more can i do in order to increase more my productivity and cut short the number of hours i am in a mind block?

Hi, Last week i had a injection done to a knot in my back which doctor told me was a muscle strain. Now he's sending me to get a Ultrasound done and I read somewhere that you shouldn't have a ultrasound done for 30 days after having a cortisone shot. Now im not sure what he put in my back and im worried if its cortisone. Im going to ask him what it is before i go for the ultrasound but is there anyone in the medical field here that would know what he shot me up with?

Can someone help me understand the mechanisms by which pain signals travel from the site of injury to the various parts of the brain. And also the role of the descending pathways that help to mediate pain. And finally the gate theory of pain proposed by Melzack and Wall.

I sort of understand bits and bobs of the physiological mechanisms of pain but I am finding it difficult to put it all together to understand it in logical and coherent manner.

I keep getting nose bleeds. I do not pick my nose or hit my nose on anything, it will just randomly start bleeding. I think it might be caused by dryness.

I pulled my biceps deltroids hamstrings and pectorals rock climbing last wedneday and then i made it worse by playing rugby one day later then while i was playing rugby i got cut pretty badly and had to have my knee stitched up in hospital and now i have a big footy game on sunday and i need to get better soon! My head has been hurting for 3 days non-stop. I go to bed with it and wake up with it. The only time it goes away is when I take sinus headache meds. I don't feel sick, but I do feel more tired than usual. I am in otherwise good health. No major health concerns in my life.
The pain feels like alot of pressure and it worsens with movement.

I had surgery on my little finger 2 mths ago severed nerve, tendon and antery - whole hand and wrist aches like hell! but cannot bend upper joint in my little finger at all will the drugs help? have been presciped an anti-depressant drug along with paracetomal and ibrofren. reading the 'gen' on the prescription it sounds worse than the cure! Is there anyone who has anyone who has an alternative cure?

I'm 20 years old and I live in San Jose, California. I want to apply for some kind of health insurance. I'm on a very limited income, and if there was a free program that would be the most practical for me. I also have a tooth that needs to be removed. I've been neglecting to get this done for a few years, and i think its time. This would be easier with some finacial aid. on the toe next to my big toe every 6 mo.s or so i notice it looks semi unattatched so i take it off and underneath theres another fresh new toenail that grows for 6 months or so and does the same thing. my ? is- is this an ingrown toenail? i doesnt hurt at all,just seems odd.
