Hi, Last week i had a injection done to a knot in my back which doctor told me was a muscle strain. Now he's sending me to get a Ultrasound done and I read somewhere that you shouldn't have a ultrasound done for 30 days after having a cortisone shot. Now im not sure what he put in my back and im worried if its cortisone. Im going to ask him what it is before i go for the ultrasound but is there anyone in the medical field here that would know what he shot me up with?

I've gotten ultrasounds in my foot after a cort short. I've never heard you should wait for 30 days. The ultrasound is suppose to help break up the muscle to get it to relax.

Was it into the muscle or into the spine. Either way it was a muscle relaxant or a cortisone like drug
Rest for a week
Then the UltraSound will be used to see if there is any muscle tear
