I would start will a pilot hole at first we don't want to make any mistakes do we say 5mil then when you are confident that all is OK you enlarge it with progressively larger drills say increments of 5mil till you get to the required diameter say 30mil
at this point it would be good to take stock and work out the next move
the lobotomy should be done with a clean and I mean clean hook not to big but that is your choice wiggle it around till said lobotomy is complete clean it all down with some meths and fix in said cork
Hope you found this of some help as I did mine some 3 weeks ago with no harm full side effects

A long needle around the corner of the eye works best

He had heard of the work of an Italian called Amarro Fiamberti, who had developed a trans-orbital attack on the frontal lobes; one that went in through the front of the skull, directly over the eyeball.

He had perforated the orbital plate of the skull behind the eyes, and injected caustic solutions to destroy the brain tissue, but these had sunk down and caused rather severe damage elsewhere. Fiamberti had also punctured the orbital plate directly through the eye sockets and tried to use the original leukotome knife in this method with few good results, and a lot of mess.

The potential advantage of such an approach was that it did not require holes to be made in the skull; everything could, in theory, be performed by one individual administering a simple stab through the back of each eye socket into the white matter of the brain. There would be nothing to set up. The patient would be left with nothing worse than black eyes and a splitting headache - plus the usual effects. It would be very easy, very fast, and very cheap.

Well if you want the best effective lobotomy...You don't just want a hole..That's just crude...I would suggest the smallest bit possible...Going through the forehead, (between the eyes along the septum is considered the best route) drill four holes in a square pattern and then cut out a square piece of the skull, to give you maximum access to the medula oblongata. Naturally remove that, and then replace the square piece of skull, insert screws into the holes..Grabber scews are most effective, and then stitch it back up...I would suggest having someone to assist..Oh, and put plastic on the floor..Maybe consider getting one of those capes that hair salons use...Good luck..Happy Cutting!

Think we're talking trepanning here. Believed to relieve pressure on the brain, release evil spirits etc. Practiced in the 20th cent by a certain Dr Huges, who believed that, since small children whose crania had not yet fully fused, displayed great qualities of imagination and creativity, the same would work for adults.(Eventually the authorities released him from the psychiatric institution..)
There is a film on the topic for D.I.Y. enthusiasts called 'Heartbeat in the Brain' by the artist Amanda Fielding..may be now on the net. Frankly its a bit of a bore..!

I would start with a 1" hole saw. Make the hole large enough to see what you're doing. After you have the 1" hole drilled, I would recommend a corkscrew and a fresh bladed utility knife. Insert the corkscrew to get maximum "traction" while removing the lobe. Also, you're going to need a couple gallons of Jack Daniels(shadetree anesthetic) if you're performing this on yourself. Good luck and happy lobotomizing.

I don't think the size of the drill bit in a lobotomy is that important. What you must do, however, is ensure the drill is set to hammer action. The skull is particularly tough, and you may need to exert quite a bit of pressure.

You need a 4" Forsner bit,,,and you're going to patch the hole with a boat/rv fiberglass repair kit. You could use a tan fiberglass repair kit they use for fiberglass bathtubs also.

remember you need to drill just between the eyes, and below the eyebrow ridge. So us the 4" forsner bit, drill off the nose, then into the skull

Any size will do. Make sure you have a steady hand tho and wear a pair of incontinence pants, it may get messy

And moist toilet tissue will plug the hole better than a cork. It's more maliable so more effective.

Good luck, tell us how it goes.....

For a lobotomy you do not use a drill, u use a stick up ur nose into your brain. Or u could go in from your eyeball.
