General Health Care - October 2006

I am suffering from seasonal Sinus/Allergy issues, and the more I blow my nose or sniffle, the worse my hearing gets. It feels like there is a bubble in my head (no jokes, please) and I am not hearing to my full potential. I know that I'm talking louder than normal and I have to raise my t.v. volume louder than usual. I would love to read your advice on what I can do at home FIRST to fix this problem. thanks!

I recently went to the doctor and i had had a cold for the past 4 weeks. Then he told me i had a chest infection and when he listened to my heart, it was beating too fast. So then he sent me to go get blood tests done and an ECG done. I can understand the ECG but i dont understand why the blood tests if he knew i had a chest infection.

I wanted to know what Fribromyalagia really was, I already have a lot of pain in my back and neck, and my wrists ache really bad sometimes worse than other days, oh yeah it feels like my wrists build up pressure then need to pop or be popped. Is this like a symptom for something worse to come? I am only 26 years old and I feel like I am falling apart. And my wrists have been hurting long before I picked up the whole computer thing. Is this Fribromyalgia? Like I stated before my granmother had it and one of my aunts too. Can anyone out there answer my Q's? Thanks a bunch for the help guys.

I slipped and fell in a grocery store like 3 months ago, I took the whole fall on my right knee. I have been to the doctors and have been to the specialist. I crushed the carteliage in my knee and possibly have torn it a little bit. Anyways, it still hurts a lot like all the time. The doctor recomends that I go to physical therapy but I have had a bad experience with pt before. What should I do? Is there anything that I can do for myself at home instead of going to pt? It is killing me and I don't want to take pain pills for the rest of my life. What should I do? Any ideas or suggestions out there? Please help.

Is there any home or herbal remedies for withdrawal symptopms from this drug? My friend is addicted to them and she takes 1 5/500 pill per day. She wants to quit but is afraid of the withdrawal symptoms/

she has been running a fever all day of appx. 101 but she isn't complaining of anything else. but lastnight she was complaining of a headache, and then threw-up once. then fell asleep, woke up fussing and sweating. but today she's acting normally, although her face is a bit pale except for her brightly flushed cheeks.

In July I had strep throat and within a week it was gone after I went to the doctors. Ever since then though they have been extremely swollen and abnormal looking, one looks like its forming a small hole. I also have trouble breathing and swallowing dry foods, but it is not painful. Should I get my tonsils removed?

The past week I have been having really bad jaw pain, it just came on suddenly. My jaw feels very tight and my throat sometimes feel tight as well.The feeling is mainly on the sides and sometimes it feels near my ears, I have also been having very frequent headacjes that just wont go away, When I open and close my mouth it hurts. I have anxiety/panic attacks but dont know if it would cause this much discomfort in my jaw. TMJ runs in my family as well, my 2 sisters suffer from it. anybody else experiencing the same thing or know what it could be?

friend got into a fight, actually they fought him they grabbed him and kept hitting him, his left face is swollen and has a bad black eye, he has been sleeping basically for two days and complains of headaches, and has taken a lot of tylenols. I was given a gift from a friend who got discounted Geneva watches straight from the factory. Ive been wearing it for 2 months now and I developed a rash with small bumps on wrist. I originally had a small cut there and thought the watch rubbing against it made it larger. Then i switched to my right wrist and even before my left one healed the same thing is happening.
The watch is lose on my wrist could this be the problem?

I went to subway today and ordered a 12 inch sub. I came home, ate it, and when I was almost done a bandaide fell out. I don't know what I should do.
