It is true in some, but certainly not all cases. The muscles relax after death, hence some things tend to "slide " out, for lack of a better word!
Also, in reponse to somw of the other answers, erections and twitches DO NOT happen after death. I have embalmed thousands of bodies and have yet to see even one erection!!!

Not always, but yes, sometimes. Often in very sudden or violent deaths, the sphincter muscles controlling the bowels and bladder relax and these wastes are released. However, in gradual and peaceful deaths, this does not always happen. I was with my father and both of my in-laws when they died of various situations that had kept them bedridden and inactive for a week or more, and none of them had this happen to them. However, when my father nearly died suddenly in an ambulance after having a heart attack, his bladder released and I knew he was close to death. His bowels did not release, so this seems to be somewhat of a variable. When he passed away 3 years later from complications of a severe stroke, he had been in the hospital for nearly a week and this did not happen again. My father-in-law was bedridden from terminal cancer, and when he passed on it was gently, and he did not release his bladder or bowels. My mother-in-law passed away quietly in her sleep just last year of old age, and she did not have either of these reactions either. It seems that violent and/or sudden deaths are more likely to result in bowel and or bladder loss, but it does not seem to be an absolute thing.

The only truth will come from a census of death crap, to no death crap ratio. Seeing as how this is impractal as a rational request, we will have to accept the most traumatizing events that get told the most as the truth. Everyone shits when they die.

Yes, but not in all circumstances. The nervous system loses the control to keep them in, but it also depends on if you have anything in your bowels at the time or if the nerves in your intestines are not disrupted.

Yes, this is true.

When one dies, all muscles relax, including the sphincter muscle and the PC muscle that controls your flow of urine.

Yeah I think so. Your body loses control of all functions.
