A triage nurse is typically a registered nurse though in some states may be a paramedic or LPN that is utilized to assess symptoms and assign a patient to be seen accordingly. This is why some patients have very long waits to be see while some get right in.

A triage nurse is a registered nurse, commonly an emergency room nurse. The nurses take turns doing triage and direct care in the actual emergency room. Triage is doing the initial assessment (finding out whats wrong, what the blood pressure/pulse/temperature etc)

Triage. It's a French word. A triage nurse decides who gets to see the doctor first, based on how serious the problem is and how much difference it will make if they have to wait. They do this in the Emergency Room and also in some doctors' offices, if they can't see everybody who calls in right away.

I am guessing you mean Triage nurse. This is the nurse you see first in an emergency or urgent care facility. They determine the extent of your needs and in what order you will be processed. I really don't know except from patient but I thought they were RN's also.

It's triage. They assess your symptoms and help decide what needs to be done to help you, especially if you've called into a nurse help line. They also take your vital signs if you're at the doctors office or hospital.
