My doctor switched my prescription from the 10/650's to the 10/325's to miminize the amount of acetaminophen I take. I was surprised to find the 325's cost more than the 650's. Are they stronger or better in any way????

It's not my prescription I just have a few pills. But dang, if more people took it I think we'd all get along and get more done.

I have been taking Tylenol # 3 with codeine for about a year now, I have cronic back pain, caused by Degenerative Disc Disease. I have read that Tylenol can cause problems with liver function, but what about codeine? How safe is codeine, by it's self ? I've been taking Tylenol # 3 with codeine, 3 times a day, it helps take the edge off the pain, but does not eliminate it. I was thinking about asking the doctor to change me over to a pain medication that doesn't contain Tylenol," to be honest, what I have read about Tylenol scares me ". I think something that uses aspirin combined with codeine would be safer. I have also heard about a patch that delivers pain medication at a steady rate into the bloodstream, has anyone with cronic back pain used this patch? I am looking for thoughful answers here," no stoner jokes please".

Hey everyone :-)

I go to school, and I get quite severe pains in my ankles when I walk and run (in the subtalar joint area). I have ankle supports to help with it but they don't do much. My parents are unwilling to let me go to the doctors about it. Is there anything that I could buy to help it, or is there a way of convincing my parents to let me go to the doctors about it? I doubt it's so serious that I would need subtalar fusion surgery, but I would appreciate it if someone could help :-)

I had a bi-lateral malleolar fracture that was surgically repaired with plates and screws four weeks ago. The hard cast is now off, and I am in a removable cast with crutches. The thing is, I have no pain. I'm not complaining. The ankle is still somewhat swollen, but the joints seem to have a full range of motion with no pain--that foot feels little different from the other foot, which is uninjured. I can stand on both feet with no pain, either while standing or afterwards. My surgeon suggests that I could begin weight-bearing in a week or two, "as your pain level permits", but my pain level right now, at four weeks, is essentially non-existant. Would I do damage by weight-bearing now, with the cast on?
