It depends on what kind of food poisoning it may be. Some types you just kind of have to ride out (most of them, actually, and don't require medical attention).
Go to webmd.com and there is this thing where you can basically say what your symptoms are and they will tell you what is possible. Also, go to wikipedia.org and look up food poisoning. It will give you the basics on what to look for and how to handle it.

possible poisoning should be taken seriously. If your symptoms are extreme go to your local ER for a check up. Usually food poisoning will make you very ill but those in good health usually get over it within about a week.

It depends on how sick you feel.
Most cases of food poisoning are treatable at home. You need to drink plenty of fluids, and rehydration salts (you can get at the pharmacy). You should try to not eat much for a day or so, or eat only bland foods.
If you are really sick with lots of diarrhea, or bloody/mucusy diarrhea, you should go to the emergency room for treatment.

Drink tons of water because it is going to totally dehydrate you.
Unfortunately you just have to wait for the bug to get out of your system.

wait it out and drink lots of clear fluids, gatorade and rehydration drinks, cause you will be puking your guts out and that will not stop till the bacteria is gone, 24 hours or so, then figure out where you ate and report them to the health department....

You must get it out of your system immediately. Go talk to your doctor, if you have one, and tell them exactly what you ate so they could help you identify what you might have in your system.
