You are describing a psychiatric condition called "Pica". Eating substances such as cotton and bits of old towels have resulted in blockage of the digestive tract requiring surgery. You should talk to your medical doctor and get a referral to a psychiatrist, since proper treatment should be helpful to you.

I once saw a special on this woman in Russia who would walk two miles away from her home to this forested area to eat pure black dirt. She said she didn't much like sweets, but if she had something to compare it to, it would be chocolate.
The labels on our clothes, towels, etc., say 100% Cotton. This is processed from the actual cotton harvested from the plant. Except that, as far as I know, towels and flannels contain dyes. This might be harmful cuz they're not the same dyes that they use in food coloring. It's one thing if you suck on a wet towel. It's another thing if you ingest bits of it. It might very well be harmful.

Oh now I know where all my towels went you ate them. Man dont do that anymore they are expensive. Thats gross you done dried youre butt with that towel then you ate it. I would think it would clog up youre insides and kill you. I wouldnt do that. Are you pregnant? I have heard of pregnant women wanting to eat lots of crazy stuff like laundry soap. I never had those kinds of cravings when I was pregnant thank god but I am pretty sure that if you are having these kinds of cravings then you need to go see a doctor and tell tehm because you may have some health issues. I dont think the doctor would call them mental health issues like I would but a serouse health issue that needs to be looked into. Maybee you need to take vitamins or something please check with youre doctor and dont eat any clothing.

You might have a vitamin or mineral deficiency. People with this condition might be predisposed to pica. Most often people who have pica crave starch, often eating laundry starch, clay or dirt. Is it dangerous, definitely. You need to be evaluated by a physician.
