General Health Care - September 2006

Softball injury. I hit the ball into my own shin. this happened yesterday. I dont have pain, just some swelling at ankle and brusising up and down my leg.

I almost always feel like the right side of my head has fallen asleep. I even get the "pins & needles" sensation in my face. I also have severe headaches frequently, lasting anywhere from an hour to a week. I've had a normal MRI and MRA of my head. Also tried (at Dr.'s recommendation) a very strong NSAID with no relief.

Ok. OW! On the upper and lower part of the left side of my mouth my teeth HURT! and they wont stop hurting! Im 11 years old. I just tried sneaking into mom and dads room but OF COURSE mom woke up and said "Go back to bed there isnt enogh room on the bed!" Actually there is a tiny spot for me on the bed.. I'm trying to fall asleep but the pain from my teeth wont stop!! I have braces and an expander. HELP! At 10:40 p.m. How can I get my teeth to stop hurting so I can fall asleep?

I initially thought this was a side effect of my acid reflux because I first noticed it during a bad AR episode, but now I'm not sure. Somewhat often, my (usually left) oblique will tense up so hard that it feels like a bone, and nearby abdominal muscles tighten up too. It becomes painful because the muscles press against my rib cage, irritating them. This is sometimes accompanied by a feeling of numbness on the left side of my belly, and even a sort of itchy internal feeling that I think might be intestinal. It does seem to be irritated by a lot of the same things that the reflux is, but I have been getting it even when reflux isn't flaring up. Sometimes if I press against the swelling areas, pain shoots down my arm, particularly the underside of the wrist.

I want to know since I am guessing I take them for 8-12 days a month(not in a row), (1-4 doses a day) it includes: my PMS headaches/migranes and during my period for my bad cramps, also when my legs hurt really bad after doing exercise ( like 1-2 a month only 1 dose).

IS THAT TOO MUCH ADVIL A MONTH?

I need a shoe that supports my arches and my whole foot.
I love canvas shoes, but they have no support whatsoever.
I'm guessing vans are bad too?
I heard dc shoes are pretty comfortable..
any ideas would be great.

i drove down to TN this weekend and when i got to my destination i realized my ankles were very swollen and they havent gone down....ive limited my salt intake and have been drinking plenty of water but my ankles are still very swollen.

A couple of months ago, I noticed a strange lump on my hand.It sits an inch from my wrist, and it is between my pointer and middle fingers. I believe it appeared overnight. It feels as hard as bone; however, I am certain that isn't. I have no pain associated with it. Anyone have educated guesses? P.S. I will visit the doctor soon.

i thought i got stung by a bee yesterday but now im not sure, my foot is still swollen and where i thought i got stung at is turning purple and a white line keep appearing on my foot, its hot and everything is it a spider bite cause i dont know??

Im currently on prednisone and methotrexate (5 pills a week). I just started some omega 3 pills to see if that works. My life has been horrible since these disease hit me. Im only 24 years old! I have 1 son. I work but Im constantly limping around the job. The mornings are the worst. I cant even stand long enough to fix my son's cereal in the morning. I cant go down stairs, sit down (cause I cant get up), open any type of bottles...im just tired all the time. Can anyone give any ideas. Anything will help!

My dad thinks it was a spider, but it happened while he was asleep. Now his elbow has been swollen for 3 days. The swelling is travelling towards his hand, but not decreasing in area. Really tender to the touch, but no visible color changes to point towards a brown recluse. Any recommendations??

every now and again i get a pain in my chest. it feels like i cant breathe deeply without pain. it usually goes away but leaves me taking short breaths for about five minutes. the pain comes when i try to breathe deeply.

She has loss of appetite. NOT pregnant. Ultra-sound today is negative. First indications are this might be a gall bladder problem. Pain is currently in middle of stomach, just below rib cage, around the solar plex. Any suggestions and solutions.
