Take a regular asprin or tylenol and place it between your cheek and the gum that hurts. Trust me. Your gums are virtually skin, and skin is a super sponge.

It will get real mushy and start to dissolve. It will taste like crap. It will be horrible. After it gets to the almost dissolved state, swallow it.

If you have Ambesol, that can help as well. Orajel works too, as does Campho-Fenique (Sp?).

Try icing it if it's not sensitive to hot or cold. Place on the outside of your mouth in a barely moist towel. If cold doesn't work, try heat. It'll cause the capillaries in your gums to expand, increasing bloodflow.

Good luck sweetie. I had two crowns put in and my life was a hell for about a month. D:

I'm going to pretend that this is a real question. The first thing you should do is not judge someone unless you've been in their shoes. Just because she had a baby at a young age, it doesn't mean she has ever done a single drug in her life. Her older sister is probably stressed at home as well and feels she needs to stick up for her little sister and niece. You of course need to apologize and possibly say you've never been around someone so young with a child so you didn't know how to act? Not that it is an excuse.

Oh baby, that's not good.
Go and see your mum and dad again and tell them, "Please, I'm sorry to disturb you, but this really hurts" Then tomorrow ask the folks if you can see the doctor. Now, this is difficult and you must not disobey your folks, but if nothing is being done for you, then how about ringing Grandma? Grandma's are the greatest people in the entire world. I just know Grandma will listen to you. It's the braces and expander of course, but you know that.

No you can take Tylenol, read the instructions on the bottle and it will tell the ages and how many tablets you can take and how often. Have your parents call your Orthodontisis tomorrow.

Did you just get your braces tightened? I am having flashbacks...

You need to talk to mom and dad. If you are in that much pain you need to make sure it's your teeth and not something else like allergies or a headache.

Obviously they never wore braces. My sympathies.

you could take a tylenol. there could be something wrong with your braces. if not it could be that something is wrong with the nerves in your teeth. or maybe you need a rout-canal or you have a cavity. motrin could also work.

Call your orthodontist. Find one Tylenol, or Advil pill. ONLY ONE. Swallow it with some water and tell your orthodontist you have an orthodontic emergency.
