Anything with ginger in it.

Saltines. Anything dry, bland, and perferably salty.

close your eyes and breath deep in through your mouth to fill your stomach with air and then slowly exhale. Do this while laying down relaxing. Nice and easy. If that doesn't work then try some sweet hot tea. One spoon full at a time. No big sips. Also dry saltine crackers. One bite at a time and chew slowly. Some people swear by a hot cup of ginger ale. Pour some into a mug and heat for a minute in the microwave then sip the hot liquid. There are medications over the counter for this, but you should only take it if the doc recommends and you are not pregnant.

Finally, just one teaspoon of pepto-bismol. Don't drink or eat anything for at least 15 minutes to let this coat your stomach.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon. Nothing worse then nausea

Why are you nauseous is the first thought that comes to mind. Nausea is a symptom, not an illness in itself. You need to fix the cause if possible to really treat the symptom.

We use crystallized ginger when we are sailing. Ginger ale that has been allowed to lose its fizz might help. Ginger and peach teas have a calming effect on the stomach. Cannabis (the pill is called Marinol) is very effective in treating nausea if you live in Canada or the UK and are eligible for a prescription for it - if you have cancer, for example.

There are numerous prescription and over-the-counter meds to treat nausea.

I hope these thoughts help.

Nausea isn't really related to vomiting. It just goves you that same feeling without the vomit. I think the best thing for it really is to lie on your bed, flat on your back and take a long nap. There are pills for it, but they don't really do any good for most people. There is a mythical cure for seasickness I've heard of that might work on nausea, too. Try salting a quarter of a lemon then sucking on it. I've heard it cures seasickness, so maybe it works on nausea too.

no not another ginger remedy, although it does work. try eating some licorice candy this works pretty well, or you could try eating some biscuits, or saltine crackers, i think the reason these work is because they are made with baking soda, a teaspoon of backing soda in a glass of water works real well on indigestion. as for vomiting , if you really want to , stick your finger down your throat to stimulate your gag reflex, but make sure you have something in your stomach to vomit because the dry heaves really suck.

Salt, yes the salt will make your nausea go down as it increases the concentration of the blood which in turn will turn off the emesis (nausea) center in the brain and will cause the nausea to decrease-----in fact next time you get nauseated try a PICKLE and give us your feed back---OLD REMEDIE WITH TRUE SCIENCE REASEON.

Pepto Bismol usually works. If you are having severe nausea and it lasts more than a day or two, see your doctor. You could be pregnant, have the flu, have hepatitis, etc. There are many things that cause nausea.

Eating small meals/snacks rather than full ones, avoiding dairy, and drinking a lot of real ginger ale and eating crackers. They carry pregnancy pops at Motherhood Maternity and other places. Also staying out of the heat, drinking a lot of fluids, and getting out of bed slowly helps.

When I was a kid and got carsick this worked...apples

Then as an adult with both my pregnancies to get rid of morning sickness....apples again. MacIntosh and Granny Smith worked best for me.

Good luck
