General Health Care - September 2006

I was pushing a heavey weight this morning, I had a straight back and was using my legs.
I felt a snap/ping/click/bang in my calf. Almost a mechanical type feeling.

No my calf hurts and I can't extend the muscle (I.e extending my leg behind me as in walking. When he legs below me theat's as far back as I can go. In contraction (moving it forward) it's as bad.

What do you think I've done? Will it be a muscle or tendon problem?

i have severe rheumatoid arthritis and have been told that i need a new bed or at the very least an orthopaedic mattress. can a gp or consultant prescribe one on a private prescription. if not is there any other way that i can at least get help towards the purchase of said item. I'm going to dinner with my family tonight, and dont want to be all gross with a cold (we're celebrating my moms birthday)

My throat hurts (feels scratchy) but its not like im hoarse. and im having a hard time breathing through my nose. I dont feel sick other then these symptoms.

ive been taking vitamin C and NyQuil, what else can i do? anything?

It ended up being a bead.
Anyways, he has 4 molars coming in and has a nasty booger nose.
Except, now there is a little blood now too when his nose runs.
Is this normal? Or should I worry something else is up there?

after taking a vaccination (injection) is it ok to consume alcohol/beer the same day? or tell me what amount of time should one wait for consuming alcohol to be safe? are they both related? i think injections are through veins and alcohol mixes through blood,so they should be independent of each other?kindly clarify.(in my case iam 26 yrs old man and i had taken the third dose of Hepatitis-B vaccine at 1400 hrs today.)

I went in to have gall bladder removed and while doing this the surgeon made 2 incisions into my colon. I was not given instructions to use enema before surgery and my colon leaked into my large intestine. It has been 2 months since surgery and still having trouble. I vomit alot after eating, severe back pain, and run low grade temperatures. Surgeon doesn't do anything, he just says it takes time to recuperate. Three weeks ago,I slammed my elbow into a door frame. The bone took the impact straight on. It still hurts when I lean on it or even rub it. When I lean on my elbow, it feeks like there is a marble rolling under it, yet I can't see any swelling. Anyone know what is wrong?
