I am pretty sure you need antibiotics for it.

Try using some hot steam for somepain relief.

No, sorry, but you can minimize its effects by avoiding polluted areas, smoking and dust.
Very hot climates aren't good, either.
I inhale ocean water in the Summer and it helps me a lot the rest of the year.

NOTE:
Medications shouldn't be an alternative if the symptoms aren't strong or you'll end up immune and when you really need something they won't be effective.
I say it from experience.

I suffer with this all the time. But find when I got to warmer climate it clear up. Dairy product trigger me off.i.e milk, and cheese so I avoid them all the time. I use vapour inhale or head over bowl of hot water to clear my sinus.

take any kind of otc medicine containing the word "sinus" ; u can also boil water & breathe the steam in. if it's an infection, u need to see a doc 1st.
