How can you tell if your 6 month old has strep or other throat virus? My husband has had a very bad sore throat for days now and hasn't had time to go get it checked cuz of his crazy work and school schedule, and now today our infant has been fussy and coughing a lot (doesn't sound like a cold, though) and having a hard time sleeping unless we give her tylenol.
Would it be serious enough to take her to a doctor to be checked?

According to the American Speech - Language - Hearing Assoc., sensorineural hearing loss can be caused by diseases, birth injury, drugs that are toxic to the auditory system, and genetic syndromes. iam asking because my daughter had jaundiced 2 days after she was born and lasted for quite a while bcos of sepsis which has been treated with antibiotics and phototherpy...after a few weeks it cleared up..but now at 6 wks it seems to be coming back..am quite confused bcos just a week ago i had her blood checked cbc and pc and results shows no more infection

I get canker sores (inside mouth) a lot of the time, and cold sores (blisters outside mouth) in the winter... Are either of these contagious? And if I had my mouth in other places, could she get it there? Or can she only get them if I have a cold sore? I have no idea how I ended up getting these... But I don't want my gf to get them. As far as I know, the canker sores inside aren't contagious... but the cold sores are if I have one. But can that form of herpes be transferred to the vaginal area? or no? Thanks.

Stupid me
i was exercising barefoot(kickboxing) and i noticed my heel has been very painful! especially in the mornings when i get up. i can not put all my weight on it.this was probably 3-4 months ago and still painful. i cant walk on my wood floor barefoot or even wear those cute flats HELP anybody?
what is this?

I was going down the side of a slope or facing the hill going down sideways. I was leaning into my position so my knees were far out further than my ankles. I heard a pop and my leg had a terrible pain. I had been hit by a skier passing by who was using his poles to get going faster and a pole hit my my achilles and there was so much tension in my achilles the doctor said it snapped when the point on the pole jabbed it. Is this very common or have you heard of it happening?

I am a healthy female in my early 20's.
I thought it might have been indigestion, but I didn’t eat anything unusual or intense (shrimp salad lunch, tasty d-lite ice cream snack).
I have been under an extreme amount of emotional stress.
It was hard deep pain in my chest, mostly the center, I was also slightly nauseas. I got through it (I was on the train home), by scrunching up and breathing deeply and sheer will power. When I got home I took some anti-acid and it faded after a while.
