I was in a very bad accident two years ago and I spent a lot of time in the hospital. I could not use my entire left side. I was issiued a premment handicap parking permit. It has been two years and I've gotten better and on Thursday 07,2006 I was told that the Handicap parking is for our patient who has a walker, a cain. Now I have all of these and I have used them all and more. I have been in physical therapy every day for two years yes I've gotten better but I feel that no one has the right to tell me where to park when I have a legal parking permit that was issiued by the D.P.S. of Texas.

What are the post effects of surgery done to the leg? I know there will be blood clots and internal infections. But are these bearable pains? I'm considering going under the knife to correct my slight bow leggedness.

I'd really appreciate some advice on this.

I'm slightly bow-legged and I've been having atrithis in my knees for the past few months as a result of this. Doctors have told me it WILL get worse in time to come(i'm only 20 now). There is no real cure for athritis, just medicine and therapy to reduce the pain. However, I'm looking at surgery. Doctors may not recommend it since surgery on legs will always have post-effects like blood clots, infections, etc. But at the same time, if I go for surgery to straighten my legs, it will lessen the pressure on my knees and thus reduce my athritis significantly. I also know that being bow legged has always affected me socially. Every other part of me is fine except my legs and its so disheartening. Is surgery worth it?

Lately I've been noticing that my hands (mainly my fingers) have been swelling up at night. They get so swollen that I have to take my wedding ring off and then can barely get it back on in the morning. Usually by mid-morning they are back down to normal size. What could possibly be causing this? My husband says it might be dehydration. Is he right?

She has had a low fever from 99- 100.4. She is being treated for a urinary tract in which I don't think is the problerm. She has had 6 doses of an antibiotic. It began with fevers up to 103, weakness, sore throat, lower back pain and headache which she describes as sharp pains in her head. After 4 days she is still complaining of the same. Just the fever has gone down. What do you think this could be? She also has white stuff on the back of her throat.

It usually happens early in the morning. I hate to say it, but it usually also happens after a night of drinking. I'll wake up and my right or left calf cramps up. I usually can shake it off but this morning it happened and now my heel on my left leg is numb. Does any one know what it could be. Been going on 2 yrs. No Insurance, cant really afford to go to doc.
