Omg i really didnt know that this could happen, but reading the other peeps awnsers t seems as if it can, well i had better stop doing that even though its like addictive, but these days every day we hear somthing new can give us cancer, so i really wouldnt worry !

It's an extremely low probability, but yes. That's because you get a little wound in your mouth, which can theoretically grow into a cancer. But ir happens really rarely

it is quite possible that you could as cancer is a mutation, that is any tissue that is constantly damaged can lead it to become mutated. this is why smoking causes lung cancer, the epithelium is under constant damage untill eventually it mutates and causes a growth and a change in cell type or why over radiation of tissue can also cause said mutations etc..... im not saying you will get cancer but anything is possible! but please do not fret about it, it is quite a rare occurenceeven if your a smoker.

My dentist warned me against this after noticing I'd been gnawing on my tongue, leaving a raised white scar-like area. I followed his advice to "stop that", and the problem cleared itself in a few weeks.

If you smoke a lot then yes because the toxins get in where the skin is broken

absolutely not and if anyone tells you differently they are winding you up, your own saliva is in itself a disinfectant and instantly kills any bacteria, where have you ever heard of anything like that happening,
