My left ear has been plugged (pressure) all day. I've tried blowing with my nose plugged, chewing gum, yawning and everything else I could think of. What should I do?

you may have what we call as "otitis media" or middle ear infection. the middle ear is a air-filled cavity just past your eardrum. it may be filled with infected mucus that can cause that "plugged" feeling. yawning or chewing gum cannot relieve you with this problem. antibiotics and decongestants are usually the solutions to this problem.

another problem that you may have is "impacted cerumen", in other word hard earwax buildup in your ear canal. this can also cause plugged sensations and must be removed by applying earwax softeners, suctioning, or flushing with water with hydrogen peroxide.

either way you have to see a doctor to confirm this. at least you have an idea of your problem

hope i helped

Go to the doctor asap becuase you could have a major ear infection which could cause you to go deaf, I know 2 people that, that has happened too. Or it could be that you need to get your ears perfessionally cleaned becuase you are not supposed to use q-tips anymore becuase all they do is push the ear wax down into your ear.
