That really depends on the person. Some can be really fast healers and only take a day or two, others are slow healers and need more time. Just keep ice on it and maybe it will go down in a couple of days.

After four days if it is still swollen and not looking like it is improving, you should get her looked at. Mouth wounds usually bleed terribly and scare everyone, but they usually heal quite quickly. If you are concerned, get it checked out. Don't feel too bad. Just be careful but things still happen. My daughter fell and split her lip a couple of weeks ago while I was standing right there. You can't prevent every injury and crying over it doesn't help anyone. :)

you should be looking good in a few days if that is all it is. Some people will heal slower, but take asprin or something else to bring down the swelling (any anti-inflamatory that you aren't allergic to) so it can heal faster and keep ice on it. If the skin is sliced it may need stitches and for that you will need to see a doctor-the sooner the better.

Maybe a few days. Put warm moist compress over it to help bring down the swelling. (Ice packs to be used initially for about 12 hours right after the injury then warm compresses thereafter).

The question cannot be answered in an absolute method. It depends how you fell, where you fell, how long before care and firat aid came, your blood coagullation rate, your blood circulatory swiftness etc. so no answer without enough information coming from professional investigations.
