I went in to have gall bladder removed and while doing this the surgeon made 2 incisions into my colon. I was not given instructions to use enema before surgery and my colon leaked into my large intestine. It has been 2 months since surgery and still having trouble. I vomit alot after eating, severe back pain, and run low grade temperatures. Surgeon doesn't do anything, he just says it takes time to recuperate. Just want some info on what I can do and my rights to do it.

If you want to know what your rights are then you need to hire an attorney the deals with medical issues and can give you all the background on what you are going through.

This type of attorney will know whether this is something that could/should have been prevented or whether it is something that is common with the type of surgery you had.

Good luck.

Complain to the hospital where you had your operation.

Lemme see what I can find for you.

This is one of the known complications of surgery. They can cut something else that's in the area by accident.

Whatever you decide to do, please don't involve the hospital. This was entirely due to the surgeon who most likely is not employed by the hospital but has privileges.
