General Health Care - August 2006

I workout 4 days a week. I do not drink coffee or sodas of any kind. I have chewed tobacco for 23 years and have now stopped with the help of a patch. I checked my blood pressure a few times and it is 125 over 99. I was told anything over 90 is stroke level. Could the patch be causing this and how serious is this?

I've been under hugh stress lately. The other day I was at my max and the next day my entire body hurt. It has continued for the last 3 days. The simplest movements hurt! I haven't done any physical activities that would cause me to be this sore. I feel like I've been run over! Anyone ever experienced this?

Tick bites are an occupational hazard for me. Aside from the pain of Lyme's disease or Rocky mountain spotted fever, these little things itch like hell and take forever to heal. Any idea on how to make them stop itching and heal faster?

Hi i'm 22 an i have been having leg pain every since i could remember. When i would walk or stand for a long period of time my legs would ache like a tooth ache. I can only stand up for 2 hours before my legs would just start to ache. Sometime its both of them sometime its just one. When the weather changes it hurts really bad then. It dosn't happen that offten but every now an then they would hurt while sitting down for a long period of time i'm talkin maybe about 8 hours. I have been to the docotor an had x-ray done they rulled out arthritis. But couldn't find a problem with my legs. I have allways ran track started at age 8 an stop at 15. Around 12 i had gotten shin plints an the pain was too much for me to bear. I'm 5'1 105 i have allways been slim. I hope someone could at least send me a the right direction. This has affected my life big time. Thanks in advance

I am a 49yr old female. I am widowed. On Aug 17, 2006, I was diagnosed with Severe Degenerative Arthritis in my low back. I went and signed up for Disability today but I think that will be a problem. I work at Dollar General about 20hours a week so I have some income plus I get a widows pension from the VA. I came home, called a lawyer and all they could tell me is you have to be out of work for a year to get Social Security Disability. If I do not work, I cannot pay bills! At Dollar General I am a cashier and my back starts hurting and the pain generates down my leg. If I do not have that income I cannot meet my bills and if they find out about me applying for disability they would fire me. One qualification for the job is to be able to lift 40lbs. I can't lift that! I was never told this when hired and it is not in writing anywhere.

What can I do? Please help someone!

This Friday, I had got my right middle and ring fingers caught in the part of the garage door that bends, I got it treated immeadeatly, but I still have little little purple-ish pink marks on my fingers. When will they go away? Please help if you really do care.

I have been adjusting to wearing insoles from my doc and suddenly have terrible pain in my lower back/upper tush area. Will this go away on it's own? I stopped wearing the insoles, but the pain is terrible. Don't want to call the doc if I don't need to.
