i recently got five stitches...should the wound be firm? i'm not sure if its infected, its on my leg where i cant see it well

yes it will be firm. blood is going there to transport all the materials needed to fix the injury. if it is red, or has red streaks running from it and is warm to the touch go to the doc. didnt they give you antibiotics.

depends how recently you mean...if your wound feels hots, leaks a lot, smells funny if might be infected so go check it out

if it is red around the area and warm to the touch I would see your DR. Any drainage? Use neosporen.
