Cocoa butter and/or cooling gel. They also make shower gel which contains aloe to help heal sun tan lotion. Stay moisturized and dont use anything that dries out your skin. Use lotion as soon as you get out of the shower (this is when your skin can absorb the lotion the best).

You need to get Fruit of the Earth brand Aloe Vera Gel. Mine is called Cool Blue or something like that. It makes your burn feel sooo much better. I had horrible sunburn this summer. It totally helped!

Actually I had to use this myself last night.....apply a wash rag that you've wet with vinegar to your face. the sting will disappear almost immediately....and yes I did say vinegar. :-)
Tea Make some tea, cool, and apply to the burn. While any tea may be beneficial, mint tea, such as peppermint or spearmint are especially good. The teas have tannins that help the healing process.
Caution! You may have sun poisoning if you experience chills, fever, or get blisters or a rash. See your physician!

try chamomile tea. Brew some up, cool it, and gently bathe the sunburn. Also put a nice smooth flat bedsheet in the freezer. When it is cold wrap around yourself. This is best great for trying to sleep with a shoulder/back burn

It wont happen overnight. Keep using the aloe and take tylenol for pain. Use Aloe GEL, not lotion.

those lotions should NOT be applied too soon after being burned as they keep the heat trapped in and make it worse, try some ibuprofen , and cool , moist towels - and for the lecture... next time don't get burned

Try Ponds cold cream lotion. But if you want the cheapest remedy, try a hand towel soaked in ice water.
