I had a terrible reaction last week where I couldnt breath and I had hives...it was directly after eating four pieces of pickled asparagus...I also sometimes get a light rash after eating pickles...but never anything so severe.

YES!!! ABSOLUTELY!! Have you read the ingredients that go into pickling something?? THAT'S what you're probably allergic to! When your reaction is hives and not being able to breathe, that's serious! So stay away from anything pickled except picolo petes! lol

There are alot of ingredients in pickled foods that can cause a reaction, could be any number of the spices or preservatives they add in. Use extreme caution reactions tend to get worse with more exposure to them, may want to consider allergy testing.

anyone can be allergic to ANYTHING. i would suggest you stay away from whatever you ate.
