I am normaly regular but a weekend of unhealthy eating left me backed up, bloated and feeling miserable. I took 2 correctals and woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with severe cramps, weakness. I felt like I was going to pass out, I was miserable as the laxatives kicked in. I would'v suffered through till I was regular again, had I know what they were going to do.

The reason im asking this question, is because i was watching XFACTOR the other night...and there was a strange old man who claims to put a clove of garlic up his bum every morning (whether this made him sing better or vocalise better is beyond me)

Most extraordinary answer gets 10points!! (and you have to say WHY u put whatever it was up there)

Oh ,and things like thermometers and suppositories dont count...!

well... 5 years ago, i knocked my head onto a huge metallic pipe round the central part of my head. I had no vomitting and no bumps or is my head swollen, with the exception that there were continuous headaches for the next few months. However, slowly the pain went away.

What is scary is that, nowadays, when I sit around, sometimes this pain or sort of headache feeling came, and i could feel the world is moving without my head shaking. The occurence has been a few times and lately, the series of headaches came back and to make matter worst, I recently had nausea feelings.

So anyone got any idea whether it is related the knock on my head? If it is, what should I do?

Hi..it's like my 20th time trying to quit smoking - I have tried just about everything and now am attempting the patch. It's been only just a few hours since my last smoke and I am going nuts (just typing this I thought about a cigarette at least a dozen times).

Does any one have any tips or advice to offer a newly liberated non-smoker stay clean? Have you or someone you know successfully quit smoking? If so, how did you cope with all the stress, anxiety, and cravings ? When can I expect the cravings to drop (even if just a little bit)? I have been a smoker on & and off for over 12 years.

I filled out an online job application and within two hours I received a phone call and a job offer. I didn't expect such a quick response and thought I had time to at least take a first responder course before hearing back from anyone. I sorta lied on the application by telling them I had three years experience in another city, but I really need the job! I don't want to be a baker my whole life. So now they want me to fill an E.M.T. position starting tomorrow.

Lost my dad 2 years ago and my dog of 12 years 2 months ago. Sometimes I'll get in states of mind like everything just feels "off" or weird to me. My mind will start to race and I'll scare myself basically. Asking existential questions which obviously have no answer. Then I distract myself and it goes away. I've had panic attacks when my dad died, but it never gets to that level anymore since I calm myself down when I feel it coming on. Just wish the anxiety would go away. Is there anything I can do more than calm down?

Literally, as soon as it's dark, when I'm driving I drop. I chug mass caffeine, but what else could it be and how might I "cure" it?
