have you gone to an ENT? you might have to get tubes in your ear drum as a way to clear the fluid. otitis media and swimmer ear are two different things and both are treated differently... you may need to clarify a little bit more. what type of fluid do you have thin watery fluid or thick pussy fluid? all of these things can affect how you will be treated by a doctor. usually thin watery fluid will clear up on its own, but thick fluid is serious business. as for your eustation tubes... if they aren't opening or closeing properlly you will need to see a doctor. steroid shots and other medications can help with that.

on a different note sometimes chiropractors can help with otitis media if you like alternative forms of medicine.

Steam and hot compresses are the best. A gargle of salt water often helps as does taking an antihistamine. It is not a fast process. The doc can send you to an ENT to get tubes put in but they do not work for long and in many cases make it worse in the long run. Some people have luck swallowing hard while getting the steam.

Tinnitus is actually not a disease. It is actually a symptom of a problem that is rooted deep, somewhere within your body. The problem could be a simple one like an infection in the ear, or even simpler, such as ear wax. In some people, it could even be the result of a side-effect of a drug they took. Or it could be more complicated. However, we absolutely can treat it healthily. Read more here:

Limit or avoid exposure to the noises you suspect are causing your tinnitus. If you cannot avoid loud noises, wear protective earplugs or earmuffs.
Try to ignore the sound by directing your attention to other things.
Practice relaxation techniques, such as biofeedback, meditation, or yoga. Stress and fatigue seem to make tinnitus worse. Read more:
