a gall stone is made of the minerals found in bile, mainly calcium if I remember.

Gallstones are precipitated bile salts and cholesterol, a predominant component of bile. Some are almost pure cholesterol and are translucent and others are more mixed with calcium and other salt components.

Frequently they are quite beautiful, and when opened, the cholesterol crystals are arranged almost like a geode.

Sometimes they are small soft and black called pigment stones, and created from the breakdown products of blood.
