I bruised my toe but it never healed correctly so now it has a little yellowish section. I'm positive it's not a fungus because the doctor told me so and this has never spread.

When I was younger I never had a bed wetting problem. I may have wet the bed two or three times before I turned 4 and that was it.

I'm 31 now. THe other night I was asleep and I woke up with what felt like gas. I thought I would go back to sleep and it would pass on it's own. I went back to sleep and I immediately entered a dream where the pain in my lower abdomin was unbearable. I didn't wake up, though. It got worse and worse, and then all of a sudden I woke up and the pressure/pain was gone and I was peeing myself inbed.

Has this ever happened to anyone else as an adult? Has it turned into a long term problem or only isolated instants?

My doctor doesn't fully understand the pain I'm going through.

I sprained my wrist last friday and I know I tore a tendon in it.

He gave me 5 tylenol 3s and 100 motrin 800mg

Neither meds work and he just doesn't get how painful it is.

I can't even lift up a soda can with my right hand

Every time I go to the doctor with a concern he wants to Rx me some new medicine. I have had other doctors do this too. It seems like they would rather push the pills than recommend healthier options like diet change, exercise or physical therapy. Why is that?

I'm 26, no kids, I have 2 herniated disks (L4 and L5). L5 was an old injury. I think it happened when I was in the 4th grade and fell out of a swing, but it never really bothered me. L4 happened a couple of years ago, and now I have a lot of problems. I don't agree with having a nerve block, that only covers up the pain...it doesn't fix it. Surgery is not an option according to my doctor. They say I need to build muscle strength in my stomach and back, but I haven't found any exercises I am able to physically do. Symptoms are extreme pain, numbness and tingling in both legs, both arms, neck, and around my right shoulderblade. This isn't all the time, but I would say a majority of the time. I have at least some problems/symptoms on a daily basis (mostly just the pain). Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Feels like the after-effects from a Charlie Horse. Did not do any exercise since 3 days before this pain started. I was sitting at work when the pain started. Very intense in the morning when I wake up, all the blood rushing down, then it almost feels like it wants to cramp.

I help guide care home staff with Safety regarding Medications and have heard there are changes being planned that will bring into force that all medicines are to be administered by two members of staff who are appropriatly trained. Does anyone have any info regarding this.

Preventative check-ups could reduce unnecessary costs of cure. That being so, should we all have annual check-ups? If yes, could the NHS sustain this extra burden?

Most people I know have been told that the plastic used in water bottles contains a potentially carcinogenic element and therefore the bottles are safe for one-time use only. Extensive research has convinced me the only safety issue is not cleaning the bottles out properly, i.e. the build-up of bacteria!

Should we not be more concerned with the manufacture and disposal of all these bottles???

I have two young children at school. They are regularly coming back with head lice. It seems that all the old shampoos and treatments no longer seem to work (in the UK this is). Does anyone know of any new and effective products? Or am I doomed to years of nit-combing their hair every day!
