My doctor doesn't fully understand the pain I'm going through.

I sprained my wrist last friday and I know I tore a tendon in it.

He gave me 5 tylenol 3s and 100 motrin 800mg

Neither meds work and he just doesn't get how painful it is.

I can't even lift up a soda can with my right hand

Typical drug seeker. Probably has exhausted most of the doctors or pharmacies in his area. If Motrin 800 is not helping, narcotics won't either. If anything, Motrin is better in this case due to it' anti-inflammatory properties. Get a life.

You shouldn't be trying to use the hand. And that amount of pain medication is quite adequate for a sprained wrist. Don't get started on anything stronger for such a minor injury. Your doctor understands perfectly well---that's why he isn't giving you the heavy duty stuff.
