I have a stange white lump on my head under my hair. No hair grows on this lump. It is about 0.5cm in diameter. What could thsi be? I am 15 years old.

It's probably just some kind of cyst...you should get it checked out, though, just to make sure...and to give you peace of mind.

Stop fiddling with it for God's sakes! lol...I know you're touching it all the time.

You really should see a dermatologist. It could be absolutely nothing, perhaps a harmless cyst, but it could be something much more serious. At the very least, maybe a dermatologist can fix it so that hair will grow from those follicles again :)

It could be a bit of scar tissue. Did you ever bang your head on that spot?

I have something similar . It's been there for about 10 years but it doesn't grow and the doctor looked at it and said, it may be scar tissue from a bump on my head.

I did have a nasty bump on the head on exactly that spot once.. so I put it down to that.

Get the doctor to look at it, to be on the safe side.

I get cysts on my head a bit like this, it runs in my family. They are usually harmless and can be removed in a small operation. I had mine done a few months ago. But do go and see your doc just to be sure.
