I help guide care home staff with Safety regarding Medications and have heard there are changes being planned that will bring into force that all medicines are to be administered by two members of staff who are appropriatly trained. Does anyone have any info regarding this.

i work in a hospital and all drugs or fluids entering the body have to be checked by two trained members of staff, this is a precaution in case the product is out of date/ wrong dose or even wrong drug, it is to cover yourself

I've never heard of this. Ask your supervisor. He/She should be able to tell you.
Then do a web search for Administration of Medicine and see what you come up with.
At the very least you shoud be able to get a phone number or e-amail address of someone who WOULD know.
