Feels like the after-effects from a Charlie Horse. Did not do any exercise since 3 days before this pain started. I was sitting at work when the pain started. Very intense in the morning when I wake up, all the blood rushing down, then it almost feels like it wants to cramp.

Sorry but it does sound like a cramp to me. Make sure you are not dehydrating in this weather and stretch your calf muscle. If it persists see a doctor.

I HEAR YOU God, they are so bad. It happens to me so many times. Use warm heat on it. I use heat as hot as I can stand it. It relaxes the muscles. The even give me so much pain, that I have a difficult time walking the next day. One cause of this is the lack of Vit. D. and Calcium. I had a test at the doctor and he actually prescribed Vit D because my count was so low. It has gotten better, but I still get them now and them. I wish you the best. Use the heat for now. Good luck. Being over weight has nothing to do with it. It is the muscles contacting really bad. They wake you up and you end up jumping out of bed. I don't have diabetes and I'm not overweight so, that's not the cause. Call your doctor and get tested for Vit. D deficiency. OK EDIT; I forgot to mention that muscle realantants were great. I tald Soma, Genrec is called Carisporodol. It's not a narcotic so your doctor can cal it in. They do affect driving so be careful until you used to them. They work great for me, hope they do the same for you. Good luck with this,

Leg pain could be a symptom of any number of things. Are you using birth control pills? Sometimes pain in the calf is a side-effect.
This can be serious so call for an appointment with your doctor.

Is there anywhere that feels hot to the touch? Or a lump? You may have a clot. Otherwise, it sounds like a cramp. If it's been going on 5 days, I'd definitely call a doctor.

Lightly feel your leg where the pain is - If you feel a bump, get to the ER immediately - you could have a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)... Don't press to hard or you could dislodge it and die.

Other than that, sounds like you pulled or strained something.

It sounds as though you ought to get it checked out.

Have you been flying recently? You may have a start of a DVT which, without trying to sound too dramatic, needs to be sorted quickly!!

If you can't go to the GP try one of your NHS Walk-in Centre. I've always found them really helpful.

Sounds like you have used muscle at different angle.

"I, me lad! That happened to me."

If your leg doesn't full off, in a week," walk to the doctor", if it does crawl.!!!
