I bruised my toe but it never healed correctly so now it has a little yellowish section. I'm positive it's not a fungus because the doctor told me so and this has never spread.

i'm a cosmetologist and the reason that is, is there was an injury to your nail bed, which is the tissue under neath the nail. it usually takes 4-6 months for the bruise toe nail to grow out. sometimes the damage is very extensive to the matrix bed which is the meat of the toe, where the nail grows out of, it will continue to grow improperly. so just wait it out and see

Have someone kiss it and make it all better. It's probably a little residual bruising. It will heal on its own. Put a little antibiotic cream on it for now, just as a precaution. If it is swollen, then use ice to take the swelling down and two aspirin. Wear open toed shoes for a while...until it looks better and doesn't hurt any more.

try heat for 15 mins and then ice 15 mins , soak it in warm water with some epson salts in it, and just baby the toe, bruises take time to heal.

Heinz Vinegar to Heal Bruises...soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour.The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.Good Luck

Maybe you bruised the bone? It takes a long time for this kind of bruise to heal.
