On both my smallest toes, the nails are peeling. I have never had this prolem before. I am not having problems with any other nails, just my two pinky toes. Why would the nails be peeling?

I really don't want to go to a doctor - does anyone have advice on how to fix the peeling?

I'm having surgery in left hand ( I'm left-handed) in October. Is 4 weeks off work enough for hand to heal? I do have it in both hands but left hand is becoming worse.

Two years ago I fainted, the doctors told me I had pools of blood in my legs. I have never been physically the same since then. I am 16 and not obesse, but yet I can not run the length of a football field without being totally exausted. Almost everytime I stand up from a sitting position, I get a wave of dizyness and my vision is distorted for a few seconds. My dad recently had a brain tumor removed, so I may be in a bad disposition. Can brain tumors cause fainting? How about diabeties, I have not been tested for that, could that be possible? I know I should consault a doctor, but we can't really afford it and I do not want to concern my parents since they are overwhelmed with my father's tumor removal. What can I do to prevent pre-fainting symptoms? Any help is great.

This is mainly to improve mind and health to lead our life effectively. Yoga is performed by one and all and in the entire globe. Doctors too advise to do Yoga whenever possible for relief from pains. Oflate it has been found useful in curing major diseases also. Great Saints and Gurus use to perform Yoga to acquire total meditation power and imparted knowledge to many of their disciples for further enhancement of shakti i.e. power. Yoga should be taught in all Schools and Colleges.

Recently I've been experiencing pain in my right knee, at first it seemed random, but it's gotten worse and I realized it comes from sitting with my knee bent (even slightly can do it), and then unbending my knee. It's only my right knee, and the pain is excruciating. Luckily it goes away after a couple minutes, but for those moments there's nothing I can do to ease it and it nearly brings me to tears. It's a very sharp, burning pain. I've tried looking around on the net but I don't really see anything with similar symptoms. There is no popping or grinding, and it isn't sore to the touch (no swelling, bruising, etc.)

What could be making my knee hurt so terribly only when I unbend it? And how can I treat it to stop it from hurting so horribley!

My pinky toe and the toe next to it wont move...my foot is feeling paralyzed from my middle toe over to my pinky toe. I cant stand it because it sends sharp pains up to my shin. Also my pinky toe seems to have shifted away from my other toes a bit as well. There is a considerable gap between it and the toe next to it. I did this when I jumped up and when I came down 1/2 of myfoot hit at the base of a pillar in my house. It bent my foot and toes funny.

I felt sick to my stomach Friday afternoon. I thought I hadn't gotten enough sleep and had gotten to hot. Well my stomach got really bloated and the next day I had diarrhea everytime I turned around. I am having bad abdominal cramping around my belly button. I have IBS and it hurts me to take stuff like imodium so i am looking for some other alternatives without having to go to the doctor. There is a stomach bug going around so i don't htink this is something serious. I just want to feel better.

My hands and feet sweat just about constantly. I've heard about 2 different procedures where:
1) They inject botox into the glands to stop the flow of sweat... the injections last for about 6 months.
and
2) They can cut the glands in the wrinkles of your wrists to prevent sweat from coming to the surface.

I've tried Drysol, which is the liquid that you dab on, but nothing works. Not even Gold Bond powder or cornstarch.

Has anyone known of someone to have one of those procedures done? And do they really work? I would love to go through my wedding without sweaty hands and would love to wear any shoes I want without having to worry about slipping and twisting my ankle.

I once heard a news that a woman survived after she accidentally broke her neck by falling from her own roof... I didn't get it, how come?!?

Well, any doctor or physician to explain what's actually happening inside our very own body when we break our very own neck? Why do in most cases, people instantenously just die?!? And why do in (very) few cases, some people can survive and don't die?!?

Thanks for all of your feedback. I'm a fighter, so I must know stuffs like this. Never know when it will come in handy! ;)

My son age 10 -1/2 refused! It was embarassing. There is no way I could have forced him to because I fear he might have felt like I was robbing him of his dignity or something! My daughter who is 9 was a little scared and embarassed but to my suprise she cooperated. The Dr. wanted to check their private parts and I can only assume this is a normal part of the wellness exam. Any advice or comments from moms on their experience with this will be appreciated. Thanks.
