General Health Care - June 2006

I dont want to go to the doctor and pay a lot of money just so he can give me drops.... Is there anything at home I can do to help it? And if I wear contacts how long should I not wear them?

We've consulted an MD but was told to do what we've already been doing (i.e. gatorade, rest, crackers, etc.) Just wondering if some experienced parents have any good home remedies for a 20 month old toddler who can't keep anything down. I just feel so bad for my little guy and want to help him feel better. If you know of something that has worked for you please share... any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Need any info on the subject of paralises and erectial dysfunction. He only has feeling from chest up, so we are wondering if he can get an erection? Any info or personal experiences are greatly appreciated. He has takin viagra and said it has worked but not sure if everytime he took it it worked. Constantly take deep breaths in (like they want you to do at the doctor). Seems like every few breaths, in just everyday activities. Is there a reason for this? Any harm in this? I really feel like I can't help it.

My doctor prescribed Fioricet to me for my migraines. My Rx says that I can take 2 tablets - 4 times a day. Are there any known long term side effects from using this drug? I take them pretty regularly.

i got a chunk taken out of my neck.
and the doctor put in stiches.
i am covering with a band-aid. and using neosporin.
should i use an ice pack? no?
should i take off the band-aid, and let the air get to it?

I have been getting these headaches that have all the signs of being migraines except the nausua. nothing helps I have taken over the counter medicine, prescription migraine medicine, and even pain killers like Hydrocodone and Vicadin. Nothing helps.

I know there is something wrong here, because I always get cramps, sometimes unusual pains in my stomach, and other unpleasant things I wouldn't get normally, when I do sleep.
P.S. I'm pretty young, so could that effect anything?

I cannot make a fist with my right hand, I have numbness & pain.in my fingers. My left hand is similar.
I had two open heart surgeries last year. The problem was on my right hand before the surgery, but has worsened. Does anyone know what causes this & what can be done about it? Heart surgeon, plastic surgeon, cardiologist, GP, PA & physical therapist all had the same answer. Looking for a better answer than “Hm-m-m”.
