there is no way to get out of not going to the doctor for this one, it is a very bad infection and can be cured by home remedies. throw away your existing contacts and don't wear any until 1 week after they clear up. wash your hand constantly, don't rub, more than likely it will spread to the other eye

Okay, what you can do for your pink eye is get some Johnson and Johnson's baby wash, you know the original kind, it's kind of a golden color. Mix up a couple of tablespoons and some luke warm water, oh maybe about a cup, cup and half. Get you some cotton balls and saturate the cotton ball with the solution and wipe your infected from the inside corner to the outside once and only once with that cotton ball and discard it. You have to make sure you wipe the eye ball with the solution. It will not burn, it is Johnson and Johnson's. Do this three of four times on the infected eye at least three or four times a day for a few days. It should clear it up. This is the remedy that is used on infants who have pink eye when the pediatrician doesn't to give them any harsh medicine. Hope you feel better. And don't forget only use a cotton ball once and then throw it away, and never put the cotton ball into the solution after you have wiped your eye with it. Also, make sure you wash your hands after each wipe of the cotton ball. You don't want to keep putting the infection back into your eye. You should clean your contacts thoroughly and clean the case and soak them in clean solution and not wear them for a week or so. You don't want to infect your lenses and have the process start all over again. Oh and make sure you keep your hands away from your eyes and wash your hands more than usual.
