I see that most of the people who answered your question don't watch the news. It was revealed in the past year or so that the expiration dates on prescription and over the counter drugs are far from realistic. Florida has just required pharmaceutical companies to put realistic expiration dates on their meds which is almost always many years after the date on the bottle. read the article on the following page.

If its expired throw it away, they put expiration dates on teh bottles for a reason. If you have a need for the medicine call your doctor and make an appointment to get a new prescription

Usually you don't take meds 6 months after they expire after that flush the remaining pills pull your name off the bottle if a pharmacy bottle and toss. I don't think it would hurt you to take them, but chances are they won't be very effective.

Def. No. Antibiotics does not help to make your cold better, a cold is a viral infection not a bacterial one so the antibiotics will do nothing for it. that antibiotic should be thrown out. Also antibiotics shouldn't be taken without a doctors order. So please throw it out.

Not anti-biotics. They are basically poison. Depending on what it breaks down to over time, you can actually get sicker. Usually they just won't work though.
