I don't know, I have never gone around smelling other peoples saliva, however, I guess that the smell would be influenced by the foods that have been consumed

yes. People's spit smells like the flora and fauna of there mouth and body. Every one has different chemistry, leveles of bacteria, and microorganisms, plus what you eat and drink, medication you take all of that can cause the way your saliva smells..

Also when you have an orgasm your body emits hormones that make you saliva slightly , sweeter. So enjoy a kiss.

I personally don't enjoy mouth kissing because I think I've spent to much time thinking about all of this.

yes, it is variable with level of acidity, what you eat, etc. it may smell because of a bad throat or an infected tooth or simply because of a lack of a good mouth cleaning when brushing the teeth. People can forget to wash the tongue and gums and mouth sides when brushing the teeth. A good anti bacterial mouth rinse is recommended.

It depends on a persons diet. This will also affect their body odour. For example if a person eats a very spicy diet it will show in their body odour.
