Yellow is fine; the paler, the better, of course. Various things can alter the color as is addressed in the responses above. The most common are vitamin C and B which tend to make the urine quite yellow. Two liters is just adequate for hydration if you are not exerting yourself and sweating. The answers posted previously are for the most part correct.

That is pretty normal if you drink a lot of soda. It means that you need to drink more water. That will take care of it. You need to hydrate your system and then your urine will be clear. Good question!

Many factors affect urine color, including fluid balance, diet, medications, and disease. The intensity of the color generally indicates the concentration of the urine; pale or colorless urine indicates that it is dilute, and deep yellow urine indicates that it is concentrated. Vitamin B supplements can turn urine bright yellow. Reddish brown urine may be caused by certain medications; by blackberries, beets, or rhubarb in the diet; or by the presence of blood in the urine.

Are you eating a lot of fruit? Vitamin C can make your urine bright yellow. It is a water soluble vitamin so is excreted through your body via your urine and sweat.

what sort of shade of yellow? Is it "clear" or cloudy? urine should be a pale yellow colour .. 2 litres of water a day is plenty unless you're doing heavy work that makes you sweat

If its a pale yellow or almost clear, then it is ok. If it is not, then you might have a UTI or might be dehydrated. Stay away from juices and soda. Drink plenty of water, to flush it out.
