YES!!! You never know what was on that nail...and it isn't worth risking. It's a quick needle and it's over with...better than losing your foot!

Yes you do. A tetanus shot is needed if you step on a rusty nail, regardless of the length.

yes you must if you didnt get a tetanus shot in the last 5 years.
Tetanus is a serious and often fatal disease caused by the neurotoxin tetanospasmin which is produced by the Gram-positive, obligate anaerobic bacterium Clostridium tetani. Infection usually originates from a contaminated wound, often a cut or deep puncture wound. Common symptoms are muscle spasms in the jaw (hence the common name lockjaw), followed by difficulty swallowing and general muscle stiffness in other parts of the body. Infection can be prevented by proper immunization, as well as by post-exposure prophylaxis.
Go get immunized!!!!

It's recommended that you receive a booster every 7 to 10 years (depending on the area and the physician's school of thought). Considering the consequences of tetanus, if you're not positive when your last booster was, I would definitely recommend that you get one.

Tetanus shots prevent infection by Botxhulinum tetanii, a nasty bug that causes constant painful muscle tremors. In my career as a nurse I have seen one case untreated and it is a horrible way to die, so you should get the shot!

it is, tetanus can kill, cripple and torture ,its better to suffer a small injecton than suffer the consequences
but the drawback here is that if you didnt take the shot within 24 hours of the injury ,theres no specific advantage to taking it now.
