i was swiming in the pacific ocean in south carolina and was stung by something.
i dont know what it was i thought it was a jellyfish because thats the only thing i know of that would sting me (i dont live near the ocean i live in Nevada). when i asked the life guard what to do to stop the stinging she said she doesn't think it was a jelly fish she told me what she though it was but i forgot. any wayz she put vinigar on it and that stung really bad.

it is like a hundred little lines that looked like small cuts it turned bright red around where it is. it also looked like whatever it was kinda wrapped around part of my arm but not all the way around. it got kinda hot or a couple of days and now it just looks like i scrached my arm on something. it looks scabbed over and when i feel it it feels like my skin just got realy hard in those spots.
im not worried about it i just want to know because i hate being left in suspence as to what it might have been.

today i just got out of the shower, feeling fine. all of the sudden i became extremly dizzy.my eyes drooped and it seemed as if everything was getting brighter. then i felt weak and i collapsed. i doubled over and then threw up.. afterwards i couldnt stand.. i still felt weak.. what could this be or mean?

I got stung by a bee on the bottom of my foot on Sunday. Now, it itches like crazy!!! I put a bandaid on it, and it swelled up, and the itching hasn't stopped! HELP!!!

I have spells sometimes that feel like warm water running over the back of my head. Sometimes it starts with a sharp pain and I grab my head then I can feel the warm water run over my brain, like its between my skull and brain. This is so weird, it's really hard to explain too. Does anyone know what this is? It's been driving me crazy since I was about 13 years old ( i'm 28 now).

My boyfriend has had back problems it seems like forever! Every 4-6 months he blows out his back and is immobile for 2-3 days, everytime we go to the doctor they give him pain pills...should we also use heat packs or cold packs--which one is better??

I have a nose problem. All of my life, I've always had my nose stuffed up especially in the summer time. I've been told that I should see a nose doctor about the problem and perhaps I need to widen my nasal pasages. I'm constantly sniffing even after I've blown my nose, and I use over-the-counter nasal sprays but they only help for a certain about of time. I'm scared about having any type of operation on my nose. Can you recommend something that isn't surgical or if you know the medical term for seeing a nose doctor?

the methadone was prescribed for me three years ago but the constipation from it is unbearable i want to stop taking it i am on a dose of 30 to 40 mgm day as needed i mostly take 30 mgm unless pain is too bad. i do not want to go to md and request stop use because they will send me to a rehab and to a detox first i just want to stop on my own without all the bruhaaha i am an older woman retired and just want to live without the bowel problems i can take the pain but not this constipation. please help me i have no where else to go

I have been taking these for sometime now (in quite large doses per day)to cope with an abusive partner.I have been trying to "kick" it for 7 months since getting away but can't seem to get off them. I feel better every day except I am dependant on these stupid pills.Any suggestions how to wean myself off the withdraw?When I don't take them it justkills me. I have kept my habit secret up until a while ago and did kick it by going cold turkey but now that I know what to expect with that I am not able to bring myself to do it. I do not want anyone to know about this and have other medical situations that may require surgery in the near future and feel great pressure to get off the pills any REAL suggestions how to do this without anyone catching on to my 'problem'?I spoke to my doctor and he was of no real help as it isn't Hard Drugs as he calls it...

I have really really awful stomachaches every day! I think they are from a combination of constapation and acid indigestion. I take Tums, Rolaids, and Mylanta and nothing really works. It hurts all day, every day. and I hate being put through this! Sometimes I even have to lay down and can't even move it hurts so bad. I NEED HELP!!!!

This is what happened: My girlfriend and i were driving down the street doing about 35-40 mph, when out of the blue a stupid pig (they show off too damn much for their own good) hit his lights on and came flying out of some dead end street. as soon as he did this my girfriend slammed on her breaks and my body went flying forward. The piglet stoppped and let us go past him since we were already almost past him when he decided to do this stupid stunt. Everysince then, I've been having these weird pains going up the back of my neck as if I got some kind of whiplash or something. It feels as if I've kept my neck in some akward position and no matter what I do to try and relieve the pain, it still hurts.
what do you think?

I didn't know I was allergic to poison ivy, but I got it. I thought it was a mosquito bite, but it got worse. I tried hot water, rubbing alcahol, calamine lotion, Ivarest lotion, and a cold shower with little or no effect! I had to go to the doctor and get steroids tto help with the rashes and itching. Are there any remedies that ou've tried that actually bring relief from the itching?!
