Don't worry about your kidneys, alcohol doesn't damage them. It's the liver you need to be worrying about. Drinking too much or too often will damage your liver over time, eventually leading to irreversible cirrhosis. And I'm afraid the only way to avoid liver damage from alcohol is to drink less - there isn't any way of protecting the liver or helping it deal with the alcohol. Check what the recommended maximum alcohol intake per week is for males/females. The whole concept of drinking lots of water to 'flush out the system' is a myth - it really doesn't make much difference and drinking too much water really will damage your kidneys because it will make them work too hard dealing with all that fluid. Just make sure your alcohol intake is sensible and not in big binges.

Water, cranberry juice are meant to be good. Always eat before or during the time you have alcohol as it helps soak up some of the alcohol, never drink on an empty stomach unless you want to be totally drunk and very ill too. Milk thistle is meant ot be very good for your liver so maybe that may help too.

dont drink alcohol excessively/binge and drink plenty water. But worry for your liver more than your kidneys. Alcohol causes irreversable damage to the liver.
