I'm not from the USA..So I hope you don't mind me asking.???
(If you can clear up some myths for me..please)

If you are uninsured..and have no money to pay for medical treatment?
Does that mean that...

1)If you were involved in a car accident (for example) they would refuse to treat you? Before you get in the Ambulance if have to show your credit card?????

2)For example if you had cancer..but NO money to pay for treatment....people would let you die..from something that is curable???

This can't be true ..can it??? It sounds barbaric???

How do the poor get heatlh care in the USA??

I have a partial PCL tear in my right knee as well as some partal tearing of the MCL complex from a fall off of one of my horses. I have seen a ortho doc who is pushing me for rehab over surgery. The athletic trainer I have been seeing in rehab says that the PCL doesn't heal well and the next time I get thrown I could end up blowing out my entire knee. I should also mention that I ride and train horses for a living so getting thrown isn't a question of if, more of a question of when. Do I take the 6 months off now and get it fixed or do I go the rehab route and hope for the best.

I called my doctor to make an appointment for a checkup of pains in the abdomen. I had previously had a gyno exam which ruled out anything wrong down there. My doctor asked if I would like him to make an appointment with a specialist dealing with the digestive system. I said yes and today I get a letter saying I have an appointment to have a colonoscopy. I don't even know if it's my intestines that is the problem. It feels higher than that. Shouldn't a general examination be done first? I haven't even been touched to see even what MIGHT be the problem. No x-rays or anything. Should I be seeing a different doc?

How much does insulin cost in Egypt? Is it expensive? How much money would a person need to make in a month (in Egyptian pounds) in order to have insulin every day and live a comfortable life? Not a wealthy one, I mean middle class.

Anyone managed to stop and stay stopped, What worked for you?
Zyban has been the best so far. Lasted 8 months.
(And to the non smoking never smoked readers of this, yes we've all seen the rotten lungs, the lung cancer suffers and the orphaned kids. So no patronising shock tactics because the dont work)

I'm doing some research for a novel and i thought i'd give this a try. My question is, as mentioned, to the fatality of getting stabbed. Where would the most fatal place to be stabbed? Obviously the heart, but lets face it, thats terribly cliche. My original thought was for the character to be stabbed in the stomache until i realized that that would would not cause a quick enough death, since being stabbed in the stomache would leave you alive for several hours bleeding profusely.

Essentially, my question is two questions.

Where is the best place to get stabbed in terms of fatality?

and

How long would it take to die after being stabbed in a major location? (stomache, neck, chest, face, etc.)

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I've had this happen a few times. I'll get up to move and my chest, sternum, right between my breasts will feel like it needs to pop. Like when your wrist or elbow sticks. Then if I move a certain way, it makes a snapping crack, then a "rip" of sorts. It's quite odd to describe. Has anyone any ideas to why this would occur? And it is slightly painful, brought on by NO injury. Just started a bit ago.

center of your vision and won't go away? Has anyone found out what they really are? I don't buy the idea that they are flaws in your lens because they are so obviously little creatures like bacteria or something.
