sounds wierd, but coca cola may help right now, the sugars and the caffeine do something to help relieve the pressure,( Tylenol brand "headache medicine" is simply caffeine and tylenol!) also a hot foot bath, and cool ice pack on your forehead/neck..the hot water is supposed to pull the blood to the feet and release pressure in the head...Gravol helps to relax and ease the nausea as well...I know these sound crazy but...If it is a migraine, and not a tension headache (similar horrible symptoms) a doctor can help with a nasal spray..or if needed go to emergency and they'll give you demoral (yikes!)

Migrain causes by some stimulus thing that you see, smell or eat or it could be weather changes. You suggest you should make daily diary, make a jot note what is stimulate it, how often it occur? After a week or two, read through your note to see if you can find it and try to avoid it.
To reduce migrain, I would suggest Hydrothery, for example;
dip your both feet in the luke warm water to draw the blood down from you head and put some cool cloth behind your neck. and the top of your head.

Excedrin is good for Migraines but be sure to only take the recommended dosage. Excedrin has a lot of caffeine in it and taking too much really makes me feel bad.
If you've already take a lot of ibuprofen, you may just want to drink something with caffeine in it, like strong coffee. Something about the caffeine coupled with the pain-killer seems to do the trick.
Otherwise, get a cold compress, close the curtains, turn out the lights, and go back to bed.
Hope you feel better.

The special Advil for Migraines helps me. You probably need to see your doctor if it has hung on for so long. When I get a migraine, I lose half the sight in my right eye and see a lot of swirly things. It's awful! I sympathize. Good luck. Watch the Ibuprofen, it can really upset your stomach.

I used to get migrains fairly often and prefered not to take strong pain relievers for extended periods of time. Run the hottest water you can take over your head for a few minutes then the coldest water you can stand for a few minutes. Repeat this several times every hour until you get relief. Try relaxation therapy. You'll be surprised at fast this works.

Try Excedrin Migrain, it does WONDERS!! Also, caffine really triggers migrains, try to avoid it for a little while.
I have heard that coffee is a quick fix but that usually it will come back even worse later.

Try FEVERFEW!!! it's an herbal supplement that rescued me 10years ago...I was having them twice a month, & had jsut had a baby...couldn't crawl under the covers for a day or so to get rid of it anymore...so the hospital gave me Imitres...and promptly discovered I'm allergic to that....so talking to a friend, she told me about it & I started taking 1 capsule every day for the next 2 months...didn't have a single headache! Then it was almost 6 months before I got a vision disturbance (here it comes...) so I took another capsule & it went away, without ever exploding into a headache. Like I said, it's been over 10 years, & I've only had 1 mingrane since then, when I was out of town without my supply of feverfew.
