i was swiming in the pacific ocean in south carolina and was stung by something.
i dont know what it was i thought it was a jellyfish because thats the only thing i know of that would sting me (i dont live near the ocean i live in Nevada). when i asked the life guard what to do to stop the stinging she said she doesn't think it was a jelly fish she told me what she though it was but i forgot. any wayz she put vinigar on it and that stung really bad.
it is like a hundred little lines that looked like small cuts it turned bright red around where it is. it also looked like whatever it was kinda wrapped around part of my arm but not all the way around. it got kinda hot or a couple of days and now it just looks like i scrached my arm on something. it looks scabbed over and when i feel it it feels like my skin just got realy hard in those spots.
im not worried about it i just want to know because i hate being left in suspence as to what it might have been.

I don't know about that life guard but, that sounds just like a jelly fish sting especially the way that you describe the wound. Be careful next time, you don't want a horrible scar. If you ever are going to be in waters that have jelly fish, they say that if you wear pantyhose, they can't sting through them but, who wants to go swimming with pantyhose, right? Good luck with your wound. I hope it does not leave a scar.

sounds like a peanut butter and jelly fish sandwich touched your arm , you know there's some nasty stuff floating in the oceans, there's used medical waste to who knows, i would let a doctor look at it, it might be ok now, but you don't know what it can develop into.
