and i just got treated for it...i have no idea where it could've came from since i've been having sex with only one person for over a year now (w/ condoms). i told the person i've been sleeping with & he has a pretty casual attitude about it, he says he's not mad or upset at all because it's curable. is this a normal reaction to finding out something like this? i expected him to be just as upset as i was.

My problem is that during a screening for STDs, the clinic called and said they had a false biological positive on some aspect of the blood test fir HIV, they said to come in for a repeat blood test which I did a month or so after the original blood test. They told me that the results were exactly the same as the first time, and that this meant I was not HIV positive. I was told that there are certain things in different peoples’ blood and I have something in mine that made me test very weakly positive, but that I was not, in fact, positive, because if I was, there would have been significant changes in my blood over the elapsed time between first and second blood test.

I am still worried. Could I have HIV? I know I have been told that I don’t but it did not seem black and white, it was a very unsatisfactory explanation, and only through a phone call so I could not discuss this further.

Could the “false positive” be due to the fact that I had HPV during my first blood test? Or due to the fact that I had glandular fever nearly 4 years ago? Could prescribed drugs affect this test? What exactly is in my blood and is there any way it could turn into a dangerous virus and what can I do to prevent this?

....can someone plz tell me why they have medicine for herpies and cures for everything else, but they only burn or freeze or remove genital warts???....Its almost like its the neglected STD, or (sti)...and I know what 1/2 of ya are ganna say...." from what i understand any type of wart is hpv( i could be wrong) but so before i was sexually active i had a wart ( was like 5 or something) but it has since gone away but does that mean i have hpv....i don;t really understand hpv i thought it was a sdi and everytype of wart was hpv..so how can a person who is not sexually active get a wart (hpv)??

Hello!

I have a friend, she is very attractive, but unfortunately she has herpes... I believe it is genital herpes (but not certain) anyway, we have a sexual tension between us, but I am not going to have sex with her, but she feels it would be ok to have Oral sex, well for her to give me oral sex.

It seems like it wouldnt be a problem.... does anyone have experience or knowledge in this situation?!?! because I will be very thankful for anything that helps !! I think you know why...lol... please let me know!

ok so i have these bumps that are on my vagina(they never really go away) and sometimes they get red irritated and they are filled with blood and puss!! sometimes they burst. and sometimes they dont...
